Fruits:
For years New Era Farm lay fallow and unattended. As a happy consequence, there are several fruits and berries that grow here in abundance. These include red raspberries, black raspberries and Wild Creek Plums. With sensitive harvesting methods we’re able to use these fruits and berries for our specialty jams, jellies and butters.
We are also bringing back a forgotten apple orchard and will offer organic apple pectin, jelly and butter.
Wild Red Raspberries, a delicate crop, with two different bushes producing fruit in mid-summer and early fall. These are the older, more favorable berries, medium in size, sweet and deep red in color.
Wild Blackberries are large, plump 1 inch plus berries, deep, rich in color, flavor and sweetness that are great eaten alone, made into sauces or used in baked goods or jams.
Wild Creek Plums are small but mighty golden plums with rosy cheeks that taste like sweet apricots.
